- Where is Wheels and Caps located?
Wheels and Caps sales office is located just outside Raleigh, North Carolina. Our company has shipping depots all over the country. We will ship your item from the closest depot to your location for the fastest shipping. Not all of our locations stores all of our items.
- Can I pick up my purchase?
Our depots are only warehouses and do not have any sales floor for walkin customers. Unless pickup is stated in the shipping area of the auction, we are not able to arrange a pickup of our items. The advantage to this is much faster shipping.
- Is this item in stock? When will my purchase be shipped? How long does shipping take?
Items posted on ebay will be in stock. We manage inventory and auctions carefully. Most (95%) items will ship the same day or the following business day. UPS Domestic Ground shipping normally takes 2-6 business days. Wheel and tire packages may take longer to ship as we have to mount/balance the tires. If there are any delays in shipping, you will be contacted shortly after your purchase. Wheels and Caps cannot be held responsible for delays caused by UPS or situations out of our control. We appreciate your understanding in these situations.
- Do you offer faster shipping?
Yes, but it is VERY expensive. Example: 1 17" wheel with ground shipping is $20. Next day shipping would be around $130. 2 day service would be around $95.
- Do your wheels come with center caps and lugs?
The majority of our wheels will not come with center caps or lugs. If these items are included, it will be stated in the auction. Most of our wheels are direct factory replacements where the factory center caps and lugs will fit. We do not carry these parts to help keep the cost of the wheels down. Also, it is actually illegal to include a logo branded center cap with an aftermarket replica wheel, this is considered copyright infringement, and the fines are VERY high. If you need the centers and lugs, you can find the center caps from your local dealer's parts department, and lugs can be found at most any auto parts store.
- Why am I being charged sales tax?
We are a division of a huge corporation that has locations in many states. We are required by law to collect applicable taxes in any state that we have a location in. The advantage to this is you are buying from a large, reputable company that can provide faster shipping than a single location retail store. If you are a car dealer or automotive shop/store, please call us to open a wholesale account.
- I've received my item, but it was damaged in shipping. What do I do?
DO NOT INSTALL ANY DAMAGED ITEMS! Call us immediately so we can file a damage claim with UPS and arrange for a replacement to be shipped. UPS will deny any damage claim if the item has been installed. You will be stuck with the damaged item, if it is installed, it cannot be returned.
- There was a mistake in shipping, I received the wrong item. What do I do?
We work hard to keep mistakes to a minumum but they can happen. If you receive the wrong item, please contact our returns department to arrange a replacement. We will provide a pre-paid shipping label to return the incorrect item. DO NOT INSTALL! We are not able to take back used items even if we made the error in shipping the wrong part.
- Can I trade my current wheels/tires or will you buy back my old wheels/tires?
We will not trade or buy wheels. We suggest relisted your wheels/tires on ebay. You will receive much more money than what a company like ours would offer if we did buy back wheels. We suggest using the packaging material that your new wheels/tires were packaged in to ship your old wheels/tires. There are also many consignment stores across the U.S. that can help you sell your items on ebay. Check your local yellow pages.
