This is a great survivor from the California orange groves...built in Oakland and never left CA. until I bought her Dec. 2, 2007. NO RUST! I purchased this truck from a person who had made a feeble attempt at a resto-mod. I have redone everything and I do mean EVERYTHING except paint...the next owner can address that. This truck has a 250 chevrolet engine from a '68 Camaro (looks like a stovebolt 216), with a 2 speed powerglide auto transmission. It operates by the original floor shift! I did a rolling rebuild/ restoration with the help of a skilled friend and mechanic. We redid the radiator, the motor mounts, the transmission mount, the shock mounts, the flatbed wood, all electrics, electric temp controlled fan mounted on the radiator, head gasket, king pins, new rear spring kit and shackles, new rear bumper, led tail lights, wire wheels, new shocks, new right front fender from Carters, etc., etc. I personally fabricated the stakes for the bed from 100 year old yellow pine and galvanized hardware from Western Hardware in CA., 800-483-8111. The truck looks authentic to the period and really nice. The new 12 gallon gas tank is installed. The '37 truck starts easily, stops nicely with power front disc brakes and runs great at 60 mph. Crank out windshield provides a vintage airconditioned drive. My age and health forces this sale. My loss is your gain. Good luck. I have both the vacumn wiper motor and an electric motor...not installed. I have horn button and horn is wired...not installed. Chicken crate housing the 12 gallon fuel tank is installed in the front of the bed. Period OEM tanks are available for installation under the seat if you wish...I did not like that arrangement.
