1994 ford thunderbird  4.6 v-8 64,459 miles  auto trans pw,pdl,pm. the car will run and the trans shifts fine. there is a steering problem, the wheel is off a 1/4 turn some times and some times its ok. the front springs need replacing. there is new upper control arms.the motor runs good and is strong, there is a tapping in the motor once in a while and i had it looked at and was told by the mechanic that he thinks its the timing chain tapping the case, and he thinks the tensioner is going bad.its not a lifter tap, its there for 5 seconds and then its gone.the check engine lite will come on once in a while and there was some kind of alarm on the car ,but its disconnected.
