1969 AMC AMX 390 4 spd. has original motor, rebuilt with a 320 duration, 480 lift cam, new lifters, roller rockers, performer intake and 750cfm Edelbrock carb. The close ratio trans. and 354 rear end were rebuilt when engine was done with addition of an Auburn limited slip unit. New 354:1 gears and solid Moser axles. Car is Fast!! interior was redone with new carpet, seats from a Nissan 300ZX, then I had AMC logo's embroidered into the headrests.I put new legendary interior 70 AMX door panels on the doors because I thought it looked better with the seats. Floor pans were replaced by the previous owner as was all the bodywork at a reputable body shop. Ther is NO RUST anywhere! The color is sort of a cross between Big Bad Blue and Mustang Grabber Blue. The white stripes are painted on and cleared over the whole car. cragars and T/A radials are virtually new. The car has $1400 worth of full stainless steel exhaust with exhaust cut outs. just push a button, and youve got straight headers. The headers are Hooker coated headers that were installed last year as well. It has an R4B highrise Edelbrock with an AMC part number on it that is actually for 68-69 AMC engines.Car also has MSD ignition. Has a fiberglass hood with hood pins. sorry, I dont have the original hood. Here are some things that need (maybe not) attention- Gas gauge does not work, which most dont, wiper motor is electric and not hooked up(also needs switch). Well, I hate to sell this car, but I'm getting to where I cant be operating clutches anymore and would like to have an automatic. It looks beautiful and runs and drives great. Also sounds fantastic.
