On your 1971-1975 Chevrolet Impala, Caprice or Caprice Classic there is a drain apron and a drain apron support rod that is supposed to catch the rain water and direct it to the drain holes in the rear fenders of your car. The drain apron support rod (sold separately in our eBay store) fits into tabs and clips on your car to hold the drain apron in place, the original rod is made out of steel and will rust away and the drain apron will fall down.
