Common Symptoms of a Faulty Unit: These units are commonly failing causing ABS light to go on. The faults as read by a diagnostic tool are pump out of tolerance or wheel-speed sensor codes. These units are rebuilt to permanently correct the problem. They include a lifetime warranty.
Please note that the ABS light can go on for other reasons and not all vehicles that have one of the listed fault codes have a faulty ABS control unit. Make sure you have your vehicle diagnosed before purchasing this unit.

FAQs Q. How does the Repair Service work? A. With a Repair Service order, you send your unit to us. We fix it and send that one back to you. Shipping both ways is included in the domestic shipping rates, so we will send you a prepaid UPS label to get the unit to us by email after receiving your payment details.
Q. After I purchase the Repair Service, how long does the whole process take? A. Most units take 2-3 days in the workshop to be repaired. Some take a little longer. Shipping can take 1-6 days each way by UPS Ground depending on where you are shipping the unit from. Please contact us for faster shipping options or select "Request Total Amount Due From Seller" to have the Overnight option added to your invoice.
Q. How do you get the UPS label to me? A. After you pay for the item, we will request a shipping label from UPS and email it to you, so make sure your email address is current. It usually only takes a couple of hours for us to do this, but we have to do this manually, so please allow up to one business day to receive your label (excluding weekends).
Q. How do I package the unit? A. As the unit contains delicate electronics and can be damaged in shipping, you will need to pack it well. We recommend that you use a large box (so that there are about 3-4 inches of extra space on each side), wrap the unit in a layer of bubble wrap and fill in the extra spaces with packing peanuts. Don't forget to include your contact details in the box.
Q. How do I remove my Volvo ABS Module? A. We have removal instructions for this here: Volvo ABS Removal Instructions
Q. Will I need to code my rebuilt module? A. No. Since we are rebuilding your unit, no coding will be required when you reinstall the unit. Sometimes you will need to drive the car 5 miles over 25 mps for the part to acclimate back to the car, but usually you just plug these in and go.
Q. Do I need to send the whole pump in? A. No. The module is the problem most of the time. It can be easily separated from the pump.
Q. Can I drive the car while the module is being rebuilt? A. If you remove just the control module, you are not breaking into the hydraulic fluid system and you will still have regular power brakes. So, the car can be driven, but it is not recommended. You must be aware that you will not have ABS, so the vehicle may brake differently. Take extra care when driving. | |

If you purchased our REPAIR SERVICE... Make sure that the part number matches the ones listed in the auction or that the unit looks exactly like the one in the picture. If you have any doubts, call us at 1-866-573-2740 before buying the item. After the item has been paid for successfully, we will email you a UPS shipping label to send your item in for rebuilding. This label signifies you have already paid for your order with us online. For most items, repairs take 1-2 days in the workshop, some may take longer. When the part is done being fixed, we will match it up with your payment and ship it back to you. Shipping charges for both way is included for people in the 48 contiguous states.
Not all parts can be repaired. If your part is not repairable, we will refund your payment (less shipping and a $35 bench fee) and ship it back to you. If you send in an item that does not match the one in the descripion, we will again refund your payment (less shipping and a $35 bench fee) and ship it back to you. We only ship via UPS: All shipments provided by BBA Reman are covered automatically with $999 of Shipping Insurance. Please make sure to package your items well to avoid damage delays. The domestic shipping rates quoted are for UPS shipping to and from the 48 contiguous United States. Rates are higher for Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico Shipments: We ship to Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico with UPS but, you must provide the incoming shipment of your unit to us on your own. We will provide the return shipment to you by UPS.
International Shipments: We ship internationally, but you must provide the incoming shipment of your unit to us on your own. We will provide the return shipment to you by UPS Expedited Service. This cost is approximately $150, but if you would like an exact quote, please request this with your address details. The buyer is responsible for paying any import and/or export fees associated with shipping the item, which can include incoming duty, outgoing duty, and/or UPS-assessed brokerage fee (which is determined solely by UPS). DO NOT SELECT UPS STANDARD TO CANADA unless you are in Canada. |

| The BBA Limited Lifetime Warranty covers the repair of your unit back to its original operating condition for any problems resulting from manufacturing or workmanship defects. All internal components and labor performed by BBA Remanufacturing Inc are fully covered. It is valid as long as you own the vehicle and is non-transferable. Shipping, removal, diagnostic, coding, programming, software download, and/or mechanic charges are not covered by the warranty. If BBA determines the part is beyond repair, we will either provide a replacement unit, or refund the entire purchase price, at our discretion. Factors that could void the warranty include, but are not limited to: water damage, fire damage, over voltage damage, part being damaged as a result of another defective part in the vehicle, damage caused by jump starting the vehicle, improper use, use in an application for which the part was not intended, or untimely return of core unit (if applicable). |
