You are bidding on a Brand New Southwest Speed Racing Steel Drive Shaft.

You get your choice of any length from 27 1/2" to 60" long, in 1/2" increments.  We have all of these lengths in stock and ready to ship to you.  These lengths are measured center of u-joint cup to center of u-joint cup (measuring diagrams below).

  • New 1"-27 spline yoke
  • Both new u-joints, which are 1 1/16" diameter cups (Measurement C) by 3 7/32" wide (Measurement B)

These driveshafts have been used for years by some of the best race car builders in the country.

They will fit any transmission with a 1" wide x 27 spline output shaft, including Powerglide, Muncie, Saginaw, Brinn, Bert, Falcon, & many more.  On the rear, these driveshafts will fit the standard 1310 rear end yoke.  If you aren't sure if this is the yoke you have, the easiest way to make sure is measure to see if the 1 1/16" x 3 7/32" u-joint will fit it.

2 Different Ways to Measure

• Measuring your old driveshaft if it is available is the easiest way
  • Measure your old driveshaft from the center of the u-joint cup to the center of the u-joint cup (shown below)
  • Using this measurement, we have every length from 27 1/2" to 55" in stock in 1/2" increments

• If your old driveshaft is not available or this shaft will be installed in a new car, you can use this method
  • "A" - Measure from the rear of the tailhousing on your transmission to the front of the pinion yoke
  • This measurement needs to be taken with the car at "ride height"; you cannot get a proper measurement with the car jacked up in any way
  • Provide measurement "A" to us when ordering
  • Using this measurement, we have every length from 30 3/4" to 58 1/4" in stock
