1976 Chevrolet Corvette
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This T-Top Corvette is an early 90's show car that has toured mostly in the Oklahoma area. The paint and design were masterfully applied with the utmost attention to lines, detail and finish. The undercarriage is painted flat black and could use some cleaning and touch-up. The interior is a blue terry-cloth and with few yellow vinyl appointments, with a re-vamped tuck and roll dash-top, stainless steel/oak facia and a full set of VDO gauges, with a 40 channel CB and am-fm cassette player. Toggle switches in the Oak console completes the interior. It's rolling on Goodyear Eagle ST tires knee deep in rubber with solid aluminum mags. Opening the hood requires removing two hold down pins and lifting the hood reveals a 350ci. power plant packed with enough punch to leave most competitors in the dust. Under this hood you'll find this power plant of less than one thousand miles: flex fan, chrome water pump, chrome alternator, chrome master cylinder, all paint to match wrapped around - K&N air cleaner, high rise Performance intake, Holley 650 High Top carburetor, Hydraulic roller cam, Stainless steel valves, forged steel crank with a four bolt main block bored .030 over all suspended over a 7 quart Moroso oil pan. With 8-1 pistons this motor was built for the NOS plate stuffed under the carburetor. The NOS POWERSHOT nitrous oxide system with 150 jets, which could be increased to 200 easily, provides the final kick. Hanging on the end is a 350 Turbo transmission complete with a shift kit and a Holley NOS in line shifter with NOS button actuator. Tuned headers trail on to the new exhaust mufflers. Drawbacks: 2-3 hairline stress cracks approximately 3 inches long on each corner of the front bumper (common to all this model corvettes and very discreet), several paint knicks were touched-up, and the factory air is still in the cabin lines are covered but no exterior components are in place and the cabin heater needs to be sorted out (controls are in place, wiring?). This engine has not tasted the nitrous. The system actually needs tweaking. But.. it does want it. This is truly a show-off car. A beautiful show-off car. Reeaallly beautiful car. PS: The miles are only represented by the gauge in the car. True mileage...irrelevant! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
