THIS IS A 283 THAT CAME OUT OF A 1964 IMPALA, BUT AS YOU KNOW THE 283 WAS A WIDELY USED MOTOR AND CAME IN ALOT OF CHEVYS. THIS MOTOR HAS BEEN REBUILT FROM THE GROUND UP, NEW PISTON ,RINGS, RODS AND HEADS REDONE. CAMAL HEADS FROM A 67 327 WAS PUT ON THIS MOTOR AND IT HAD FLAT TOP PISTON PUT IN IT. ALSO A STRONGER CAM, A COMP-CAM 270 NOT BIG ENOUGHT TO MAKE IT FEEL LIKE A RACE CAR, BUT JUST BIG ENOUGHT TO MAKE THE MOTOR ALOT STRONGER. MY PURPOST WAS TO KEEP THIS MOTOR STOCK, BUT MAKE IT A VERY STRONG RUNNING  MOTOR, IT LOOKS RED ON THE PHOT'S, I DON'T KNOW WHY IT CAME OUT LIKE THAT ON THE PHOTO'S, BUT ITS ACTUALLY THE FACTORY CHEVY ORANGE.. PICK UP ONLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!, BUT I WILL SHIP IT IF YOU EMAIL ME AND WE COME TO SOME TYPE OF AGREEMENT.. LOCATED IN LOS ANGLESE 1-323-373-7633 MIKE
