This is the one and only 1959 Eldroado Biarritz Pilot car. Hand Built before the regular production line. Also built before any Eldorado Seville. The first 59 bucket seat car. Loaded with airconditioning and power options. Numbers matching tri-power engine.

The car has been dismantled for restoration. This car spent many years in a doctors barn in Maryland before I bought it. The poor picture above is a picture photocopy the seller sent me before I bought the car.

I bought this as a running driving car, and to the best of my knowledge only a few minor parts are missing (ie. wheel covers, some bumper bullets, and other minor parts. True mileage is unknown.

The person who was going to do part of the restoration work went out of business. Before I reset up the process, I am offering the car for possible sale.

Included is a copy of the build list from the Cadillac historical society showing this as the first 1959 Eldorado Biarritz. You will see the car noted as "fac" which means for factory use.  Also two other documents from the historical society; one showing that the build list code for a Biarritz is "E" and the other showing that for Bucket Seats on build list a "B" is added to the trim code.

The 1959 Cadillac is, perhaps  the most recognized American design worldwide. Certainly the most recognized American classic automotive design. The most sought after 1959 Cadillac is the Biarritz convertible. This is the very first one, period. An incredible piece of history.

Please ignore the cached version on Google as it has not updated; if you are seeing a copy of the data plate on Google you have the updated site. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.

Car has been dismanteled and is sold "as is" with all new, and  used finished and unfinished parts I have for the car. Please confirm that the car is numbers matching on pick up. Once it has been picked up there is no warranty or representations.

I am a licensed New York State attorney. Funds will need to be wired to my account and car will be released upon confirmation with my bank that the funds have fully cleared. Payment can also be made by tellers check from a bank licensed in the United States, however a copy of the check will need to be provided to me a few days before pickup so that the check my be confirmed.
