PERFORMANCE

K&N users would probably be surprised by the amount of air filtration testing and scientific research that goes on in K&N facilities as well as in independent laboratories. As the leader and originator of the high flow performance air filter K&N is always looking for new ways to provide excellent protection and maximum power for your car, truck, motorcycle, and just about anything else with an engine. In 2005 more than 1600 vehicles were tested by K&N's R&D group on dynamometers in the US, United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. In addition to these power and torque tests, we also performed more than 110 filtration tests and more than 1,200 air flow tests with our in-house state-of-the-art test equipment.

How K&N Air Filters Can Increase Horsepower?

All engines are developed to produce a certain amount of horsepower based on their physical characteristics. The most important features of an engine that effect power are the number of cylinders, the cubic displacement, valve layout and the delivery of air and fuel. Air is a necessary ingredient to the combustion process of an engine and the more air molecules the better. The job of an air filter is to significantly reduce the amount of dust entering an engine while providing adequate airflow for the combustion process. As an air filter accumulates dust, its ability to flow air will eventually decrease. This is true for all filters regardless of type. That is why a dirty air filter can degrade gas mileage or cause a vehicle to become sluggish.

When it comes to air filters, bigger is always better. Filtering capacity and air flow increases, as an air filter’s surface area grows larger. This is true for both high-flow reusable air filters and disposable air filters. Given the same filter medium, a bigger filter size with more surface area will always provide more airflow and a longer service life. Comparisons of filter size between filters of different types are not generally meaningful because of the different capabilities of the alternative filtering material.

K&N invented thewashable/reusable High-Flow Air Filter to offer reduced restriction and increased airflow over disposable air filters while providing all the protection an engine needs. This increased airflow of a K&N is the direct result of our cotton air-filtering medium, which is fundamentally different than traditional paper air filters. K&N replacement air filters and Intake Kits are built to last for the life of your vehicle and are backed up by the world’s first million mile limited warranty. If a customer ever experiences a problem with their K&N Air Filter or intake kit, please have them contact the K&N customer service department directly and they will take it from there. They will repair or replace the product once we have confirmed proof of purchase. This can be done by a customer filling out a warranty registration card at the time of original purchase or by simply giving K&N a copy of the receipt for the purchase. K&N invented the very concept of the million-mile warranty to give consumer’s confidence that when they buy K&N, they are buying the best.

RETURN POLICY

Our return policy is straight forward and customer friendly. You can feel confident shopping with us - after all, we've been in business over 30 years. Our policy is a common sense approach to doing business. We will take any item back within 30 days of purchase as long as it is within the constraints of the manufacturer's warranty return policy (which we are obligated to honor) and the following conditions are met:

The item must be in original, unused condition and must be returned in the original packaging.
We are unable to accept any item that has been installed and/or damaged. In addition, we cannot accept return items that are not in the original packaging. These are constraints set by product manufacturers and we are obligated to honor their policies on returns. Items returned in poor condition or having parts missing will not be credited.

Return shipping charges must be paid by the customer.
Unless our company or the listing is in error, the customer is responsible for paying return shipping costs.

• FOR RETURNS: A 20% restocking fee, plus the cost of shipping the item to the customer, will be charged on items returned without an exchange.
• FOR EXCHANGES: The customer will be responsible for the shipping and the return shipping costs of the original item(s). As a courtesy to you, the shipping on your replacement item(s) will be Freight Free providing they fall in the parameters of our Freight Free policy.

The customer must obtain a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) from us.

WARRANTY ITEMS: Our company sells the highest quality products, most of which carry a manufacturer’s warranty. We will take care of the problem here at our store, or put you in touch with the manufacturer if the situation warrants.
