Up for bid today is a 1966 VW beetle project/or at least parts vehicle very complete, missing the floor boards, driver side rocker and running boards. Passenger side rocker is partly there. All seats are in very good condition except the runners on the front seats are mostly gone. There is one seam tear on the driver seat about 3 inches. I purchased it a few years ago with the intention of a full restoration but just never had the time. Maybe someone out there can at least use it as a parts vehicle, to bad to crush it... being old and some what rare. I never sold parts off it, the way you see it is how I received it years ago. No title, will issue a bill of sale of course. ... Maine does not issue titles for vehicles older than 15 years, sorry. I did the best I could to take close up pictures of the "good and the bad" areas. All parts and pieces you see on the green tarp come with the VW of course. I honestly do not know if the mileage is original at 31972..... I checked the VIN number and engine number on samba.com and the vin #116054522 is from August 1965 and the engine # F 0080685 is A 1300 from August 1965 also. The bad part is I think that the motor is stuck, I tried to turn it over by hand and could not, even though the motor oil is on the full mark. The transmission shifts, and the chassis is rolling freely except the rear passenger side;(probably brake shoes stuck to the drum).  *****SPECIAL NOTE*****.......All the glass is the original German. (See the close up picture of the factory glass etching.) The windshield is the only piece that does not have this etching ... but is also "fogged out" from age, so this piece is not of much use even though it's not broken. Another bonus, the dash is in very good shape with all the knobs in place except one radio knob. I believe all of the trim is there except the

drivers side head light trim, I have it but it is damaged.    Any questions e-mail or call @ 207-975-3647...................NOTE.............. Also, I will be posting a lot more vehicles of varying interest in the next several weeks/and or months. I've been a long time collector since 1982 of AMC, Chrysler, Ford, GM, Mercedes and VW......200++ vehicles. Something is sure to interest you.........cars, trucks, buses, coupes, convertibles, hard tops, sedans, (2 & 4 door), suburbans, fire trucks, blazers, 4x4s, Chevelles, Camaros, 6x6s,parts vehicles, projects, rare, unique, special interest, ect. ect!!!!!!!! Winning bidder is responsible for pick up and/or all shipping costs. I will deliver free within 15 miles of vehicle location. Please don't bid if you have a bad rating and no intention to purchase item, thanks for looking:-).*****NOTE***** Winning bidder can have me ship any parts off the car you want. Winner pays actual shipping cost from what ever shipping co. you choose, usps, ups, fedex. I will dispose of the rest of the car. Thanks.
