This auction is for a pair of Sunbrella 9.25 oz Pacific Blue (Sunbrella #6001) marine grade fabric, 4 loop hand rail covers. These covers are made for teak handrails that are approximately 43 inches long by 1 1/16 inch wide by 2 1/4 inches tall and have 4 cut outs that are each 8 3/4 inches long and are on 10 1/16 inch centers. This is the same size as the teak handrails sold by West Marine. The covers are sewn on an industrial sewing machine using UV size 92 thread. The covers are attached to the rails via a 4 inch strip of heavy hook and loop tape at each cut out. This attachment method is a vast improvement over metal fasteners that have to be tediously lined up and often stick due to lack of lubrication. These covers almost put themselves on because of the way the hook and loop tape works. Removing the covers is even easier, simply grab one end and pull the cover up and away from the handrail. These covers will not blow off in high winds. I have had this style of cover on the handrails of my boat and a number of friends boats with no problems in winds in excess of 40 knots. After 5 years of Florida sun these covers still work and look great. Everyone I've made these covers for love them, you will too.
