I am restoring a 1963 split window coupe and in my search for the right double hump 3782461 heads for my car I got the opportunity to go to a machine shop that has been in business since 1970 or so that a friend recently bought out and there is stuff everywhere. I was looking for May 1963 heads for my car and February 1962 heads for a friends 62 Vette but did not find any but did find this head that I thought someone may want for their 62 Corvette. There is one head only #3782461 and is dated I-21-1. Like many heads I found it had been stripped of it's valves & springs, hot tanked, checked for cracks years ago and now has some light surface rust. I will have the head cleaned and checked again to assure no cracks. There is no damage to the outer row of bolt holes under the exhaust ports like many I have seen. Some studs will need replacing as I see some rocker wear on some and surely the guides will need some attention. There is and "X" cast on the underside of the head and the ports are all stock with no modifications. I'm sure this is a hard date to find and if you have a match to this head you are in good shape. Let me know if you have any May 1963 heads laying around for my car! Shipping is $45 anywhere in the US. Feel free to ask questions if need be and good luck.
