What is up for auction here is one of the 1953 50th COMMEMORATIVE EDITION CORVETTES. This car was converted and built in 2003 by advanced automotive technologies located in Rochester Hills, Michigan. They used my mint condition black with red leather interior 2000 corvette convertible with 13,600 California pampered miles on it when built. The car now has 21,600 miles on it. I own two of these corvette`s as shown in the first picture. They are car #49 and car #72. ONLY car #49 the black/red car is up for auction here at this time. These 50th Commemorative corvettes are NOT a kit car and NO kit is available to build them. To date ONLY 178 cars have been built and only 18 black cars. So try and find one, and then try and find a BLACK one for sale! These corvettes can only be built by advanced automotive technologies using a perfect donor car that you must supply plus an additional $37,500 and up depending on what options you may want to add on to your car etc. I had COLORADO CUSTOM WHEELS in Colorado build some special billet wheels for both of my corvettes. They have more of a retro 1950`s look instead of the newer looking stock wheels. The cost is around $2500.00 per set of 4 wheels. At around 19,000 miles I put on a set of 4 Michelin run flat tires at a cost of $1350.00 for the set which gives the car a more aggressive look. I have used this car for weekend enjoyment and CAR SHOWS only. This corvette has always placed 1st or 2nd place, best of show, or peoples choice in almost every show entered. This car has won over 45 car shows and I am keeping all the trophies that it has won. You must win your own trophies if you purchase this car. It has won the coveted 1st place award at CHEVY MADNESS which had hundreds of cars in its class. It also won BEST ENGINEERING AWARD of 2004. The list of impressive awards is long with this black beauty. This corvette #49 and my other car #72 are both well known on the California car show circuit. This corvette has all the creature comforts and is loaded with to many factory options to list. Plus it gets 22 to 25 miles per gallon on the freeway and 17 to 20 around town. Also it has a little extra horsepower from the nice sounding Borla exhaust system. All the drive train and suspension are factory stock and in perfect running order. This is an adult owned pampered car and has never been raced or driven hard, but it can get up and move if you give it some gas! Like I mentioned before this is a weekend driver and a SHOW CAR. It has also received best paint awards because of the deep black ultra gloss paint which looks stunning against the factory torch red leather interior. This corvette is spotless under the hood as well as the undercarriage under the car. It has never been in the rain or even driven on a wet street.
