The Zen Tunable Chip installs in place of your AIT or IAT sensor (requires unhooking, but no removal or modification). It works by giving you control over the ignition and timing map that are usually controlled by the sensor. When you turn the knob one way, you will be increasing fuel delivery. When you turn it the other way, you reduce fuel delivery.
Adding Fuel
The Zen Tunable chip works in conjuction with other mods! When you turn the knob one way, you will be increasing fuel delivery. This is GREAT for people who put mods such as Air Intakes, Exhaust Systems, Cams and such on their vehicle. These mods increase airflow, but that is useless and even dangerous without the additional fuel needed. The Zen Tuning Chip gives you that extra fuel, thus giving maximum power output from your mods.
Reducing Fuel-
Vehicles are programmed from the factory to run a little "rich" which means they basically waste fuel. The Engine computer keeps a running check on the AIT sensor and gives your car a constant Overdose of gasoline based on its readings. With the Zen Tunable Chip, you can cut out the waste by simply adjusting the knob and dialing in that perfect mix.
Reducing fuel can also increase power! WHAT? HOW IS THAT? When an engine is running at higher efficiency the power output increases. If there is too much fuel being injected the efficiency is reduced and so is power. Its a fine balance, but the Zen Chip will help you find that "sweet spot"
Small adjustments and frequent testing are recommended to find the "sweet spot"
General instructions are also included. Basic mechanical knowledge of your vehicle is recommended if you decide to install yourself.
