Im selling a 1994 International 4900 dump fresh out of the Ky Highway Department fleet. It is powered by a DTA 466 diesel 210 HP @ 2400 RPM, Allison md 3060p Transmission, 9 ft dump, air tailgate, pendel hitch, new firestone steer tires, rear tires in great shape, 201,086 miles. The engine runs perfect, good power, no smoke, bed and air tailgate work good, truck drives down the road perfect, tight front end and does not roam all over the road. The bed does have rust like all the salt trucks do which you will see in the pics. The worse part is in the front of the bed which would use a new plate steel welded in there. The cab has a good appearance, the hood has a busted spot on the front drivers side which you will see in the pic. The cab has some rust, but is not rotten and falling off the frame. The floor board, doors, and rockers are in good shape. On the outside of the passenger rear door, it looks like it has had some concrete splattered on it at some point and I can't get it off. You should also see it in the pics. The firewall has a few places of rust in it but the worse part is on the roof which you will also see in the pics. It has a spot that needs to be patched on the roof. The interior is not bad, driver side floor mat has a rip and the the driver seat cushion has a tear. The transmission will need some attention in this truck, so I am selling at a low reserve. It pulls fine and does not slip, but is shifting oddly. From 3-4, 4-5, 5-6 it has a 2 second pause in between each shift. I do not know anything about these allison transmissions so I am clueless on it. I do know it is electronic and I'm thinking it may be something to do with that part of it b/c it does pull good and does not slip and will run 70 mph out on the road. The truck is not junk by any means, but I've tried to list all the bad I could find so there will be no surprises when you come to pick the truck up. This will make someone a good cheap little dump with a little tlc. Please remember this truck was used in everyday fleet work and will have the bumps and bruises that go along with that and will not be perfect. Truck is sold as is where is with no warranties whatsoever. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
