Originals of the Ford tire patch kits in NOS condition judging from other NOS Ford similarly collectible items might bring $100-200 each (probably would). I have been on eBay for about 8 years and have never seen a NOS Ford tire patch kit of any era offered for sale. Used ones in poor condition are rare in themselves. There are only two places in the entire world for you to purchase one of these reproduction kits; here on eBay from me and once a year at the Fall AACA National swap meet at Hershey, PA early in October (spaces CG 17, 18, 19 and 20). I have been a vendor there EVERY YEAR for the full five days of the meet ever since 1963 up to and including 2007 (some kind of a record?). If you cannot afford to attend the Hershey meet given the distance, time and costs involved then your best move is to buy it now from a dedicated Ford hobbiest here on eBay. One of the neatest Ford collectibles ANYWHERE. AN EBAY SPECIAL!!!

What we have here for auction is your choice of one only of three different tire patch kits for your memorabilia collection or for your show tool kit...or just to toss in your glove box. Great display piece. This is a no reserve auction. These kits application wise span the following years : 1922 1923 1924 1925 1926 1927 1928 1929 1930 1931 1932 1933 1934 1935 1936 1937 1938 1939 1940 1941 1942 1946 1947 1948 and Mercury starting in 1939. Ford truck and tractor would have made use of them also.

Second kit from left in photo with orange markings I believe is early, perhaps 1915-1927. Has part number but lacks a prefix as per original.

Third kit from left would be Model A, part number A17012, 1928-1931.

First kit in photo (as well as fourth kit) is believed to be 1932, 1933 and 1934 under a part number B17012 as found in the 1928-1932 Ford Parts Price List for V8 and 4-cylinder Cars dated December 20, 1932. Its part number is displayed above the word Emergency at top of kit near cap. This is a super elusive kit as it appears that this kit with the large V8 logo on the front was only used for a couple of years after which the Model A kit A17021 graphics were resumed through 1948. We know that the model A kit was offered by Ford during the Model A era 1928, 1929, 1930, 1931. According to the 1928-48 "green bible" Ford Chassis Parts and Accessories Catalogue , page 627, it states that these were available all the way through 1928, 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933, 1934, 1935, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1946, 1948, 1948 for both cars and trucks plus Mercury and Lincoln. Bear in mind that the 1928-48 Chassis Parts Book was introduced in 1950 and is not a totally precise reference for the earlier years. Book reflects the situation as it was in 1950.

Have talked with several folks who have seen V8 logo kit and who have described it in detail and furnished me with 1932 Ford Chassis Parts Book data on page 64. Data in that listing indicates this was the A 17012 kit revised with the B prefix in the part number. Not being able to locate one of these rare original kits we have made this one up based on our "experts'" descriptions. If we are not right on, we are offering here a $100 reward for an original example to allow us to make any corrections necessary. Need not be in good condition; just readable. At this point the two V8 kits shown in this auction are the only two we have. These will be made up as they are sold in eBay auctions and not stocked. Allow 3-4 days delay if you choose that particular kit. All kits contain patching materials, but no glue. Added pictures to show patching material which is the same in all three kits. ( Postal regulations prohibit shipping of highly inflammable and toxic glue.)

We welcome any input, advice, corrections, etc. Talk to us; we listen. We also share information to the extent of our 55 years of hobby involvement. Primary hobby interest in early Ford 1928 through 1956 with a personal emphasis on 1934, 1939 and 1956 convertibles. Have fun. Bid away.

Shipping $2.85 anywhere lower 48 states. Never any charge for packaging/handling, etc. Insurance at buyer's option. Will ship worldwide at actual shipping cost. It helps us if you include the name of your item with your payment. Please tell us which tire patch kit you want if you're paying with PayPal. Otherwise, send us an email with your preference. Tx
