WARRANTY INFORMATION

Gt Japanese Engines, Inc. warrants to their original buyers that each used item sold is protected from defects in material and workmanship when properly installed by an ASE mechanic and under normal use and service for the period of time and distance to the terms and conditions as following:

I) Terms:

Gt Japanese Engines, Inc. At its option either to repair or replace the defective unit only

a) Direct Imported Used Engines. (14) Fourteen days start up warranty on the internal parts only from the date of purchase. No warranty on any attached accessories or parts such as manifolds, carburetor, distributor, alternator, starter, water pump, thermostat, clutch, flywheel, timing belt of belt-driving engine and all seals etc.

b) No warranty on diesel engines.

c) No warranty is offered on Mazda rotary, high performance and racing engines.  
 
d) Used Transmissions: Fifteen (15) days from the date of purchase on internal parts only. Electrical switches, wiring system, shifting linkage and torque converter are not covered under the warranty.

e) The warranty does not cover any accessories and/or sensors that may be included. Which included and are not limited to: Axles, half shafts, motor mounts and shift linkage do not come with the engine.

f) All items other than the above will be sold as it. No return, refund or warranty is offered unless specified by Gt Japanese Engines, Inc. 

II) Customer's Obligations: FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS VOIDS THE WARRANTY.

a) Customer must install new oil, oil filter, thermostat, spark plugs, wiring, coolant and tune up parts.  
 
b) Customer must rod out radiator, change new water hoses, water pump, spark plugs, thermostat, oil filter, oil, oil pump, timing belt, timing belt tensor/tension and all seals and gaskets whatever it is necessary before installation.  
 
c) ) Due to the variations and design on some models of Japanese imported engines, customer is required to make any necessary modification such as oil pan and oil pick up tube, dipstick, fly wheel, clutch assembly, distributor and smog (pollution) device etc. to comply with State and Federal law if necessary.

d) All belt-driven engines are required to have a new timing belt installed and set to proper timing before installation. See limitation(IIId).  
 
e) Check and adjust valve clearance and tune up.  
 
f) Set ignition to specification as specified by manufacturer.

g) Re-torque cylinder head bolts to manufacturer’s specifications

h) Change oil after 500 miles

i) Check cooling system and service if rusted or contaminated with oil and replace coolant.      

j) Must replace transmission seals, oil pan gasket, and oil filter.

k) Must be installed, maintained, or adjusted by a qualified technician.

l) Must clean transmission cooler.

m) Customer is responsible to verify parts for fitness, measurements, proper size and application prior to installation.

We assume no liability for parts incorrectly installed as/or the result of errors by customer.

III)LIMITATIONS

This warranty shall not apply to or include any of the following:

a) Repair or replacement as a result of any accident, misuse, collision, fire, negligence, alteration, racing events, improper installation, repair or modifications.

b) Labor cost, downtime, towing charges, freight charges, rental and comprehensive insurance claims etc.  
 
c) Oil leaks, blown head gasket and overheating due to poor cooling system.  
 
d) Bent valves lock up or back fire due to broken timing belt or wrong timing set. Timing must be adjusted on all belt-driving engines before installation.  
 
e) Internal damage caused by dropping obstacles into combustion chambers.

IV) DISCLAIMER 1.

This limited warranty is in lieu of any and all other expressed warranties of GT Japanese

Engines, Inc.

Any warranty implied is limited to the duration of this limited warranty. GT Japanese Engines, Inc. does not assume or authorize any person assume on its behalf any other obligation of liability.  Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the preceding information (Disclaimer 1) may not apply to you.

V) DISCLAIMER 2.

GT Japanese Engines, Inc. will not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages arising from loss of use, loss of time, inconvenience, or commercial loss, or any other consequential damage or loss. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the preceding information (Disclaimer 2) may not apply to you.

VI) WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE

1.) Call or write GT Japanese Engines stating the invoice number, the date of purchase, type of

engine or transmission and application, and the nature of the problem.

2.) No claim will be considered without prior authorization from GT Japanese Engines, Inc. Bring all

necessary invoices, receipts, or proofs of expenditure.  

No warranty without invoice!

IV) Shipping, Delivery And Pick Up From/On Our Premises :

a) Products that need to be shipped are done at customer's expense, liability and risk. Any loss or damage in shipping should be filed and claimed directly through the freight carrier, shipping company or freight forwarder. We do not assume responsibility for any loss, damage, freight cost or miscellaneous charges. 
 
b) Loading and unloading on our premises is done for customer's courtesy. We assume no responsibility for any loss or damage to customer's vehicles. 

  IMPORTANT:

1.Title to goods does not pass to buyer until funds are collected and credited to or cashed by

GTJapanese Engines, Inc.

All collection costs will be the responsibility of the buyer or agent to buyer

2. 20% restocking fee is charged on every good item returned.  No refunds after fifteen (15) days

from the date of invoice. No exceptions! Items to be return in the same conditions GTJapanese 

Engines, Inc.  shipped out or prior authorization from GTJapanese  Engines, Inc.

3. NO REFUNDS!  EXCHANGE ONLY! NO EXCHANGE WITHOUT INVOICE!

Engines complete with accessories may not comply with the current emission control laws of the state in which it is being sold or used.  State and/or federal authorities require that you modify over the emission devices from your current engine to the engine you are installing or to modify the engine you are installing to make it comply.  The add-on (or accessories) parts on the engine sold by GT Japanese Engines, Inc. are not removed or warranted by GT Japanese Engines, Inc., they are left attached for testing purpose only, for your convenience and are free of charge.  The purchase price represents the cost of the long block only (i.e. cylinder head and short block only) to comply with State and Federal emission laws.
