One original GM small block chevy engine block,casting number 3782870,and date is I 26 1(September 26th 1961).The stamping on the right front pad is FO929S.This block CASTING number and date is correct for 1962 Corvettes and Chevrolets with a 327.This block has been baked,shot peened and crack checked(magnifluxed),and it has no cracks,and is in good shape.This block is still at standard bore but will need rebored and should cleanup at .030 over.The number 2 and 4 cylinders have a small chip out of the base of the cylinders(see pictures).These are down low enough that it could still be used with no problems,or if you want it like new you could have it sleeved.These early blocks are getting impossible to find,so dont miss out on this one.Any questions feel free to ask,or i can be reached at 641-751-8225.I have a lot of 1955-1972 Chevy engines that i will be selling on ebay so be sure to check my auctions weekly for more hard to find items.I will arrange shipping and strap this to a pallet at no extra cost,the buyer pays actual shipping costs.Shipping will be115.00-170.00 to a VERIFIED business address,depending on buyers zipcode.Local pickup is always welcome as well.Thanks and happy bidding.
