Bidding has ended on this item. Item:ORIGINAL SINGLE 1930-31 MODEL “A” FORD HEADLAMP – NR |
|
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This is an original headlamp for a 1930-31 Model A Ford. It has a 9” diameter and is 5” front to back. Stamped (engraved?) into the top of the case is: “Ford (script logo), TWOLITE, HEADLAMP”. There is 8” diameter of visible glass lens. The case is shiny (nickel??-- I don’t know); the few steel parts are rusty. The case needs a good polishing; the face of the lens is remarkably smooooth. Shipping via US Priority Large Fixed Rate Box = $14.50(domestic); $33.75 (Canada or Mexico); or $54.50 (internationally).
And if you
have a few minutes, please check out my other items that are up for auction on
e-Bay. Almost all of these items are
either vintage or antique treasures from yesteryear that have been tucked away
in the barns and back sheds of New England. The items start with a low opening
bid, which is NOT the value, but it’s a real easy way to get the bidding
started. The fair market value is set
by the final bid. Usually all the
items are being sold WITHOUT A RESERVE, there is no “BUY IT NOW” price,
and I will not end the auction and sell any item early. I list items each
Sunday and Tuesday between 7 and 8:00 pm (EDT). When you become the winning
bidder and the buyer of this item, you are also agreeing to my terms of sale as
follows: MY TERMS: I will do the best job I can to describe my listed items. Hardly any
of the items are new--- most of them are vintage or antiques. So normal wear is part of that item—I will
note what I consider deviation from the normal pattern of wear. I will also do the best job I can packing
the item to protect it from the dangers involving in shipping. I can only hope that the shipper exercises
proper caution. RETURNS: If, when you receive the
item, you find the item is not as described, I will refund your purchase price
once the item is returned. The item must be received in the same condition
as when I sent it; you are responsible for ALL THE COSTS of returning the item.
Keeping the item and asking for a PARTIAL REFUND is NOT an option. If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail me--
wagon@crocker.com-- for a quick and honest response. PAYMENT: Electronic payment is preferred by eBay. As noted in a release from eBay, “A seller can accept.. [other]..
payment from a buyer if (and only if) the buyer requests it. We (eBay) will not
take action against a seller who is trying to accommodate their buyer, complete
a sale and be in compliance with the policy”. Any item shipped to a
Massachusetts address requires an additional 6.25% (for State Sales Tax) added
to the purchase price to satisfy the folks at the Mass. Department of Revenue. MULTIPLE PURCHASES: I am quite happy to hold
purchased items while you bid on another item, and then consolidate the items
to lower your shipping costs. SHIPPING: The buyer must pay the cost of shipping the item. I include either the shipping charge or the
shipping weight at the end of each description. Small, lightweight items go out First Class; heavier items
usually go Priority Mail. Your item is shipped within 24 hours of my receipt of
your confirmed payment. Shipping heavier and bulkier
items has become increasingly expensive; I try very hard to pack any item so it
is protect from the perils of transit, but also to keep the costs of shipping
reasonable. PLEASE NOTE: If the shipping cost noted with the listing seems crazy, I am having
a real FRUSTRATING TIME dealing with the NEW IMPROVED shipping section in the
Sell Your Item form. EBay requires the seller to state the shipping costs
BEFORE an item is sold and its destination is known. So there are times that the genie in the machine seems to slap a
random number up for the shipping charges.
I cannot and will not be responsible for the random actions of any
gremlins in the electronic ether. My
shipping charges or shipping weight is stated at the end of each listing. The shipping costs you are responsible for
are the charges as noted at the end of the description and that will be listed
on the invoice I send you after you become the winning bidder. If you have any questions, please email me. SHIPPING WORLDWIDE: I will ship world-wide
(customs forms don’t scare me!). However, customs forms will be filled out with
eBay item #, a brief description, and the closing price; I will not declare any
purchase a gift. Contact me for
shipping costs outside of the continental US. I am happy to take the item down
to the Post Office when it is open to determine the shipping charges to your
country and then get back to you before time for the closing bid CONTACT INFO: Mary Lightner, Bernardston, Mass. 01337. E-mail: wagon@crocker.com
