What does the car cover protect against?

            Our car covers protect against many elements that could harm your vehicle. Harsh weather conditions such as rain, snow, sleet, hail, acid rain, smog and wind can greatly damage your car. In addition, UV (Ultraviolet) rays from the sun can also damage the finish and the interior of your car too. Our car covers protect your car from these elements.

Is your car cover waterproof?

            Our covers are water resistant, not waterproof. A fully waterproof cover can actually damage your car by trapping moisture between the cover and your car. This may cause your car to rust. A water resistant cover, like ours, is designed for breatheability which will allow that harmful moisture to escape and not rust your car.  Our 4 Layer cover is virtually waterproof (about 95% based on our own tests and customer testimonials), yet it is breathable and allows moisture to evaporate from underneath.

Are your covers custom covers with mirror pockets, universal fit, or semi-custom covers?

            Our covers are semi-custom (as are about 99% of all covers sold on eBay).  This means that one size fits are variety of vehicles within a certain size and shape classification.  Sizes are determined by the length of the vehicle and whether it has the shape of a coupe/sedan, truck, or SUV/minivan.  We have 7 sizes and 3 different qualities and can fit almost all vehicles.  We can’t list them all, so if you have an older vehicle or one not listed, contact us by email and we can usually find the right size for you by verifying a few measurements.  Custom covers generally cost about 3 to 4 times as much and are usually sold by manufacturers or car dealerships and are made when ordered since it costs so much to maintain such a large inventory.  We have all our covers in stock, and ship immediately upon receipt of payment.

Won’t the wind blow my cover off?

            Not likely. The cover is designed with elastic front and rear hems. This will keep the cover firmly affixed to your car. 

Will a car cover deter the theft of my car?

            Yes, a car cover will highly decrease the chances of your car or anything in it from being stolen. A thief will pick a target that is the easiest and quickest to get away with. A car cover will definitely add to the amount of time it would take to steal a car. Also because your car is covered, the items in it would be shielded from view. Most thieves only steal items from your car out of convenience and opportunity. A cover takes that opportunity away.

Is there a right or wrong way to use the cover?

            Yes. Obviously you do not put it on backwards, but the easy way is to start by placing the cover on top of your car and aligning it properly (kind of like placing a mattress cover on a bed), then wrap it around the rear bumper first and the front bumper last. When folding it up for storage work backwards. Undo the front and rear bumpers and fold the cover in on itself to the roof of the car. That way the soft inside of the cover is always the side touching the car.

Is there a big difference in the amount of layers a cover has?

            Yes. The more layers a cover has, the better protection it can offer. Also more layers will provide a longer life for the cover. Ultra Care Car Covers offers 2 layer, 3 layer, and 4 layer covers for almost all cars, trucks, SUVs, and motorcycles. We only offer 2 layer covers for ATVs.  Our 2 Layer covers are primarily designed for indoor use as a dust cover to use while your vehicle is garaged or in storage.  It can be used outdoors in mild weather conditions.  Our 3 Layer is designed for indoor or outdoor use and is a better choice for moderate weather conditions. Our 4 Layer cover with the added fleece lining provides the best protection in all weather conditions and is thicker so it provides added paint protection against dings from tools or toys or kids bumping into your vehicle while garaged or in the driveway.
