According to the new ebay feedback system you can now not only leave a positive or negative feedback, but you can also anonymously grade sellers on our items Discription, our Communication, Shipping Time and also Shipping and Handling fees.

This is the Detailed Seller Rating or DSR.

When you give a seller a 4 star it may seem like a good score. However ebay requires sellers to maintain a 4.8 or above average. If not we are penalized with higher fees which ultimately get passed on to you as buyers. Any rating less than a 5 stars in your DSR makes your feedback for me and any other seller a negative feedback by ebay’s standards.

With final value fees at 19% of the item price it is better for you to pay a little more (not a radical amount) in shipping fees and enjoy lower prices. After all it is really your final cost and quality that matters most.

Also shipping does not only involve the shipping cost alone. There is the boxes and packing material, etc and the cost of taking your item to the shipper. In my case Federal Express is 46 miles one way.
