Description

'doc' barker was a 'momma's boy' from what i always heard tell.  kate 'ma' barker was a natural born con artist and crook who had three sons and every last one of them turned out bad.  she practically adopted alvin "creepy" karpis into the barker clan with her own boys and the "barker gang" was born.  never met none of them myself.  i turned out bad too.  i run with the barrow gang near on two years.  being bad didn't stop the bullet i took in that joplin, mo., shoot out with the law away back in 19 and 32 from getting me caught and sent to federal pen.  nearing 90, it was age and health what got me paroled out.  i had that niece of mine take me back to north dallas to a small farmhouse we used as a hide out when the law was hard after us in those days so's i could fetch a tin box i kept these reward posters i collected in.  i figured the old ramshackle house was long gone and it was, but the storm cellar weren't of course.  i wanted one last look at things and now i'm done.   i give some of these posters away to nieces and nephews that wanted them and now i'm selling off the rest.  i hear young folks still collect them nowadays.

story is 'fun' fiction, poster is a great repo----------------
