It fits a water bottle, magazine or book, jacket, wallet, gum, phone, plus everything else you usually carry with plenty of extra room. Nice leather smell! It fits comfortably on both the shoulder and the crook of your arm. I only used the bag while on vacation. No pen marks, scuffs, stains, fading, etc. I looked the purse over, and the purse shows no signs of wear- it is in fabulous condition!
