Thank you for visiting!
This a Muncie Art Pottery ewer that stands about ten and five-eighths inches tall and spans about seven inches across the handle. It is not marked as Muncie, but I obtained it as part of a large lot of Muncie from a northern Indiana estate and was informed by the family's representative that the owner had purchased all the pottery directly from Muncie. The base is marked with a hand-inscribed "5A", and has a grease pencil "132" on the margin of the base. These kinds of marks were often used by senior workers who were allowed to freelance on breaks and lunchhours. The pitcher is glazed in the dusky rose color and has a drizzled overglaze of white. It is in excellent condition
