Test 1:   Extend the display to a HP 22" monitor w2207

The Apple Mini-DVI to VGA Adapter is designed for use with the MacBook(white&black), iMac (Intel Core Duo),  Mac mini(latest version) and 12-inch PowerBook G4. Connect the adapter to the Mini-DVI port of the computer and the VGA end of the adapter to an external VGA monitor or projector. You can use this cable in both video mirroring and extended desktop modes. It works on all monitors, HD TV and projectors with VGA input.

Test 2: Extend dispay to a Epson EB-W6 projector (click images to enlarge)

No need to use it with Apple branded monitor. Third party monitors such as HP, Sony are fully supported. It works well on both Mac os and windows. Just few clicks to switch between MacBook LCD and external monitor or  use them  together. By the way, the experience of extending MacBook display to a 22"/24" widescreen monitor or projector is fantastic. I'm just using it. Highly recommend.

 
Test 3: Connect the new Mac Mini with non-Apple display
 

It works with the latest Mac mini equipped with Mini DVI port. With the mini DVI to VGA adaptor, you can use Mac mini with any VGA monitors.

 Check your Mac's display port and make sure it is mini Dvi port before choosing this item.
