Amazing 3-D TEXTURE!

I created this original tiny MOSAIC aceo completely by hand.  First, I sketched out my idea and then painted the 'tiles' and 'grout' directly onto watercolor paper.  I then built up the 'tiles' by applying several coats of Crystal Lacquer to only the 'tiles'.   I left the 'grout' flat.  The result is a wonderful, shiney texture that you can see and feel!  It really looks like ceramic tiles! Because of this shiney texture, it's impossible to get a good scan from my computer. It's also the main reason why I do not offer prints of my artwork. All of my aceos are one of a kind originals! Many of the light reflections captured by my scanner are real, but when you hold this piece in your hand the light twinkles and dances on the 'tiles'. It look so much better in person! People can't resist reaching out and touching it :)
