MS-DOS or WIN WINDOWS 3.1 F-14 Tomcat F-14 Tomcat is a flight simulator / action game. You get to fly an F-14 in a variety of combat situations, either in a single battle at a time or create a career. F-19 Stealth Fighter F-19 Stealth Fighter is a combat flight simulator released in 1988 (DOS) and 1990 (Amiga and Atari ST) by MicroProse, featuring a fictional United States military aircraft. It was the 16-bit version of the 1987 game Project Stealth Fighter, which was released for the Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum. At the time of the game's release there was heavy speculation surrounding a missing aircraft in the United States Air Force's numbering system, the F-19. This game was based on an educated guess about what the new "Stealth fighter" would be like. The MicroProse offices were even visited by U.S. intelligence personnel to make sure that MicroProse did not have access to classified documents. And once the game was released the Soviets bought several copies of the game. Subsequent revisions of the game incorporated the actual F-117 Nighthawk as well as the F-19. Jetfighter Jetfighter is a series of 3D combat flight simulator computer game that was developed by started in 1988 by Velocity Development. The player would fly a combat jet aircraft in the skies against enemy forces. The game boasted 3D graphics that were cutting-edge at the time of the game's release, and used real-world terrain. The games seldom sold well because they occupied an uncomfortable middle ground of game design - too much flight simulator for action game fans, as they realistically emulated actual combat aircraft, but too simplistic for the hardcore sim fans, who always preferred games more along the lines of the Falcon series. The series ended after the commercial failure of Jetfighter 2015, which was a fully arcade-style jet shooter without even lip service to realism. The later games had support for 3dfx Voodoo cards to run natively in DOS. Knights of the Sky Knights of the Sky is a video game published by MicroProse in 1990 for DOS and in 1991 for the Amiga and Atari ST. It is a World War I flight simulator designed by Jeffery L. Briggs with graphics by Steven Cain. Knights of the Sky was a critical success. Amiga Power awarded 87% on its initial release, praising the feel of the gameplay, vivid graphics and quality presentation. Criticisms included the framerate compared to the DOS version, poor handling of analogue joystick or mouse control, and having to use the keyboard to glance around during a dogfight. On the game's budget re-release in 1993, Amiga Power revised their score to 92%, emphasising the exciting dogfights and scenery appreciation that comes with simulating the low-speed WWI aircraft. for the PC IBM MS-DOS or WIN windows 3.1!
