This is a wonderful pre-Civil War American almanac from New York: "THE FAMILY CHRISTIAN ALMANAC 1856".  Size: approx. 4 1/2" by 7 1/2".  48 pages + printed Front cover. Good Condition overall, w/a detached Front cover (back cover appears to be missing)) + general wear; otherwise, o.k. ...This almanc, published by the American Tract Society, has all of the regular Astronomical calculations +  numerous engraved illustrations accompanying stories, anecdotes, etc. Low beginning bid. Buyer pays $1.95S&H, extra for Air Mail postage outside the U.S. ***Please see scans. The little colored "squiggles" you see in some of the pictures are due to my scanner; this almanac is printed in crisp black & white and has No color highlights!
