This yarn is twisted up for us from 4 strands and then 3strands of cobweb weight ramie silk... it gives a sort of "mediaeval" look yarn with great drape after a bit of wear, strong colors and some lustre... we are not sure of the fibre mix but we would guess about 50:50

The original fine yarns were lightly oiled for industrial knitting or weaving, so we recommend following the industrial practice of washing off these oils with hot water and detergent AFTER making a garment (try it with a swatch first)..
