(forgive the room photos -had family company for 3 days sleeping in my shooting den-i'm not nice like papa bear.)This is a superb rare 1950's coffee table preserved in exc condition- 35 lbs solid wood under 28x22 oval glass with a beautiful gold nugget professional under finish.very effective design,used during the 40's-60's.mid century modern.heavy brass rim .bottom and top.no warpage.heavy ornate from bottom of table top to base.heavy metal pieces -very effective.center bowl piece with finial comes out so you can put a fitting flower pot of real or changing seasonal fine imitation floral or other arrays.good design .this way you can let light go through the top glass to help the real and to see the almost real & beautiful reproduction fauna.1-1/3 inch wood top and base.base bare wood will be felt covered.18 dia. base wth the same gold nugget design as the surface fading slightly to different shades as photos show.16 high table.metal supports come up and extend 3-1/2 inches beyond the 28 inch length adding to the artistic effect.the glass has some slight scratches but weren't noticable as i knelt around table .cleaning with ammonia up close you will see some-but this is normal after 50 years.not an issue.  this table is  exceptional looking ,compact,very well made-strong-and would look much better shot on a room carpet.has no tendency to tip.base is very heavy-all that metal.can be shipped by seller easily and safely.ups-165.00,20.00 shipping,oversize-wood supports.shipping dis. 50%.if you're looking for something this size and the color -design fit, don't let this pass you by!.very scarce in this condition..most 50's furniture like this which i like, is in the landfill traded for the new.
