ABSOLUTE GORGEOUS PIECE!! This Tabriz rug is a handmade Persian rug from the city of Tabriz is Iran. It is one of several large square Tabriz rugs that I currently offer and it is brand new. As with all of my rugs, I only deal with the weavers directly and do not offer any rugs that are stored in warehouses. This piece is like all of my other rugs a very high quality Tabriz rug and it is a full 50 raj. Made of very fine kurkwool (lambwool) and silk highlights on a cotton foundation it is everything that you would expect from a high end piece. The quality is such that it is a showpiece and yet durable for under furniture or in any high traffic area.
One of the unique features in this piece are the choice of colors which work very well with the silk highlights. Large square rugs are hard to find and are often of a much lower quality. This particular Tabriz rug caught my attention due to the large silk highlights and the outstanding workmanship. There are no "screaming" colors and it is designed to serve as an ellegant addition to a nicely furnished room.
