superb brass and wood galvanometer.philip harris..rare.

in very good used condition is what i believe to be a philip harris tangent galvanometer, (thought it was a compass at first ) i do not know the age of this as it came out of a shed i cleared recently with a few fishing bits and bobs but i would think it is from around the 1920s or earlier.. the item seems to be in very good working order with the top balance or arrow moving freely, the 3 brass adjusting feet are all in good order as are the 3 top brass fittings which are numbered 1 -2 and 3- i think wires would have been attached to these origanally and probally still can to use it as intended..there is an impressed number on the base and 3 burnt in lines which appear to be waxed filled.. the brass dial is mounted on a light oak coloured base.. most of my auctions start at 99p as this one will and there will be no reserve as i believe most stuff makes what its worth so good luck if this interests you. will only post outside the uk by signed for mail only due to being scammed a couple of times in the last few months..this does add a little extra cost but protects the seller and buyer.. please see my other items for combined postage..
