STUNNING! From the himalayan kingdom of Nepal and set in 92.5 silver, this pendant shows a very beautiful labradorite stone. This piece is fantastic, great fire! The pendant measures 1 5/8" high with the clasp x under 1" wide. The carved stone bowl is colorful marble from India and measures 1 1/2" wide. This excellent silver pendant together with this unique marble pill box come together to create a totally unique gift from hither and yon...aloha!

Labradorite is a transparent to translucent variety of plagioclase feldspar that is found in green, blue, and yellow hues. Excellent examples of the stone may have all three colors. Labradorite produces a colorful play of light when polished called labradorescence and is sometimes called "firestone" because of this shimmering array of color. The darker variety of labradorite is nicknamed black rainbow moonstone and has bluish inclusions. Some forms of labradorite are also known as spectrolite. Labradorite was named after Labrador along the eastern coast of Canada where it was discovered in the early 1800's. It has a hardness of 6 to 6.5 and a specific gravity of 2.70.
