VINTAGE coffee pot/percolator

cool shape!

very space age/atomic

Up for auction is this cool vintage coffee pot/percolator. It looks like something out of an old Scifi movie from the mid forties-fifties! it's almost robot like! I guess it would have been made be circa 50's. It is aluminium with the plastic (bakelite?) handle. It has the coolest glass bubble on the top. 

It's a great item to display in your vintage kitchen or even use on the stove top. If you like messing around with things you could make a cool robot out of it!

It is aluminium. It shows quite a lot of scratches (as is often the case with old aluminium) due to age and scrubbing etc. I haven't tried to polish it-maybe this is possible?? I personally am not bothered by the scratches as it shows it's vintage age and the cool shape and design just takes over!

It is 22.5cm high. base diametre is 12cm. (8 3/4" x 4 3/4"). No makers marks so I am not sure who designed it. 

It's a cool machine age/atomic item....and usuable too!
