Alpaca Pants!


Description:
Beautiful and unusual women's pants tailored by H. Huntsman & Sons Ltd. for Barney's New York, unknown vintage (maybe 1980s?)

Special Features:
Classic style makes the vintage on these hard to determine - they are timeless! They have a high waistline with set-on waistband and wide loops, zip fly with 1-button closure, angled front pockets and clean back with topstitched yoke detail. Legs are cut fairly straight, narrowing just slightly to 17" circumference at the hemline.

Size/Measurements:
Marked size 40. They are fairly small - see measurements:
Waist 27"  Hips 37"  Inseam 29" (2 1/2" hem)  Front rise 11"

Material:
GORGEOUS! That's my favorite thing about these pants. Finely woven from brick red and cream yarns, they are 50% alpaca, 38% linen, and 12% cotton. This combination makes a very light, breathable, SUPER silky fabric! And they wrinkle much less than pure linen. :-)

Condition:
Excellent vintage. They still have an extra button, even!
