TITLE: The Visitor

INSPIRATION: This kind of happened by accident. After base coating what I thought would be the canvas for some new works;  I picked up the first piece of base coated wood which was a little rougher than usual very rough uneven surface with a large knot and some very exquisite looking grain lines.........I was about to put my usual next coat of yellow base on thyese quite different and unique looking pieces of nature ever so slightly changed by man, when it hit me that I should try and show the beauty of the natural wood through use of paint as a highlighter to make those features of nature even more distinct and bold.......so I have taken to some free form abstract mix of sponge, rag, hand, and brush work to bring the raw wood to life on its own...........I named this piece the visitor as it does look like a being from out of this world........... I will only use the pieces of wood that speak out to me for this nauralistic abstract adventure........so the numbers will be rather limited and one of a kind pieces of work that will never be duplicated....one of a kind works

SIZE: Frame measures   11" by 15" on 5/8" thick wood

DETAILS: Original art, painted on salvaged wood, front back and sides painted, hanger attached, ready to hang.
