Very rare, superb, vintage antique 1935 color lithographed map, titled Oregon . This is from the extremely rare 1935 book Our U.S.A. A Gay Geography by Frank and Ruth Taylor. Our USA A Gay Geography is an extremely rare book, produced during the Depression, not many copies survive. The photo wont show the true beauty of the map, the map is beautiful, bright color, color lithography, printed on thick paper. The map has many fascinating period racial Stereotypes, including Native Indian stereotypes and cariacatures , miners , Oregon caves, hunting , fishing , and much more. The left hand side is green, like a forest, and the right hand side is more desert like. The copy watermark on the map is on the ebay scan only, the map itself is in perfect beautiful conditon. The map is very detialed and full of cariacatures all beautifully draw by Ruth Taylor. The photo wont show all of the fine detail and delightful caricatures, and the color is a bit off as well, the original map is printed in beautiful colors and very fine printing. The map shows various areas in the Oregon , and has many fascinating period details as well. The printing is beautiful, and it is printed on thick paper. The map is an antique from 1935 and is not a reprint or reproduction. It would frame and display nicely. The map is in excellent condition and would frame nicely. The size is 9.5" by 12.5". Very rare. Winning bidder pays $3.25 shipping domestic, more foreign.
