Beautiful Medallion Print Civil War Day Dress

Better Day Dress  Civil War Era

This gown would be suitable for Civil War events, Dickens Events, SASS(Single Action Shooting Society), Renaissance Faires, and Old West or Prarie Impressions.

The 2 piece gown is made of a beautiful navy and gold bodice,  100 percent cotton fabric, and a burgandy background fabric with navy and gold medallions. The navy is a dark navy, the flash of the camera lightened it somewhat.  It is a drapery weight cotton.  It is accented with a dark golden eyelash fringe.  It has a wide braid in the center with eyelash fringe at both the top and bottom of the braid.

The bodice has a lovely square neckline, tea gown styling, with large pagoda sleeves.  It has a slight peplum effect to its hemline, which is trimmed with a dark golden eyelash fringe/braid.  The large pagoda sleeves are trimmed with matching fringe, as is the tea gown styled neckline.  It has a hidden hook and eye closure down the front.

The skirt is 170 inches around.  The skirt has been hand hemmed.  It has a pleated waist set onto a matching waistband.  It closes in the back with a hook and eye closure.   It is hemmed to about 44 inches.

bust:  52 inches
