  This beautiful Famille rose glaze vase lamp base with butterfly and floral motif.  It is the replica of Q'ing dynaty antique(Over 300 years ago).   It is approximately 17" tall from the bottom wooden stand to the top of the socket.

Famille rose

 

Famille rose is a term given porcelains decorated in overglaze enamels among which the pink shades predominate.  Usually applied over a white glaze, the famille rose colors appear soft and opaque, standing out like rich incrustrations.  Originated in the Kangxi reign of the Qing dynasty, the advent of famille rose was breakthrough in the development of Chinese porcelain for its capability of extraordinarily subtle variations of color and hue.  From the Qianlong reign onward, these enamels dominated the decoration of polychrome porcelains.
