In this listing we are selling ONE: 2 lb. weight---Limited Edition, Franklin Mint Pewter Sculpture from 1979--designed by Albert Ciriaco titled GENERAL STORE. This is a piece from the Main Street American Collection. Lots of wonderful detail on this: a potbelly stove, pickel barrel, display box of Clark's J. P. Spool Cotton, Kellogg's Cereal Boxes, Campbell's soup cans & Quaker Oats boxes. The 2 men playing checkers have a story to tell also. The finely dressed gentlemen in nice hat, suit jacket, etc. seems to be winning the checkers board game against the rather disappointed-looking, shirt & pants gentlemen who's head is hanging a little low-- expecting to lose that game. These sculptures were high cost items in the 70's --and, a wonderful piece. It measures approx. 3 1/2" Tall x 3 1/4" High x 5 1/2" Diameter. The designer, Ciriaco is known for authenticity & fine detail for the older time period being depicted.
