BEAUTIFUL VICTORIAN-EDWARDIAN FIGURAL BIRDS JEWELERY BOX

LOVELY BEVELED GLASS WITH BRASS FILIGREE

ca. 1880- 1910

This is a beautiful Victorian figural jewelery box and crafted with great attention to detail. I was just amazed when we discovered this in one of the drawers stuffed with napkins...and we wondered if our Aunt ever used it??  In any event, it is just precious. The box has small figural birds in flight and the top of the box is beveled crystal glass with a star design.  The body of the box is so detailed and ornate, with floral patterns and Edwardian motif.  The box measures approximately 4 inches by 4inches by 3 inches. It is in excellent condition.  Just a wonderful decorative antique for one's dresser or boudoir.

This antique came out of my Aunt's estate on Nantucket.  My Aunt was a nurse in WW1 stationed in France and then spent years as an artist and antiquarian traveling the world.  She loved antiques and taking care of them.  Please view my other items as we are selling her home belongings over the coming year and she has some exquisite pieces.  I hope this goes to a nice home that loves antiques or coins as much as she did.   Also, thank you to the many people who have bought items in the past from our family estate, the funds are going to college educations.

Thank you for bidding and please, send along any questions you have before bidding.
