Don't want to spend $$$ to get that front strap of your 1911 checkered? This 3M(tm) grip tape is cut to fit the front strap of all 1911s and is easy to apply, easy to remove but stays put through many months/years of use and cleaning. Trim to fit with scissors as shown in the photo. Clean the front strap with alcohol before applying. I've used this stuff on several guns for years and really like it - provides plenty of "grip" but doesn't tear up your hand.
