When the first Harry Potter book was released, it had two titles. Sorcerer's Stone was the US edition, and Philosopher's Stone was the British/Canadian/Australian edition. Aside from the name of the stone, the book and story is identical. This is a rarely found Gift Edition of the British release, seldom seen and offered here for your consideration.

This is the Limited Edition GIFT EDITION published by Bloomsbury which is very hard to find, and are not available in the US! Regarding Auctions & the Item...

I am a private collector of art, books, music and "stuff" and have amassed a huge collection with many duplicates. I do not subscribe to "grading" as frankly, grading is totally inconsistent and most of the "graders" TRULY have no clue, so I will use plain English if it is ok with you...

*These are spectacularly gorgeous. All editions are cloth bound with color graphic, no dust jacket as issued, with gilt lettering on cover and spine and Rowling's signature in gold lettering on the cover, gilt edged and ribbon place marker sewn in! A must for any Potter collector! Still sealed in cellowrap.

For those who can read and understand English, my PROFOUNDEST apologies for having to grossly emphasize the following statement but apparently, STILL NEW AND SEALED is just not enough info for some people and I am so sick of people asking me if this is a first printing or to photocopy the copyright page I have no other choice. So for all you others, here it is in bold print.

ALL ARE FIRST EDITIONS STILL SEALED in their plastic wrap so I CANNOT TELL YOU WHAT PRINTING IT IS!

Please do not send me an email asking this question as I am NOT GOING TO OPEN IT UP to look and will disqualify you from buying it if you waste my time!

PLEASE NOTE: Over the years, I have had a LOT of packages lost or delayed by the post office. Apparently their heightened security includes LOSING packages. Insurance is for loss as well as damage and as a result, I am ONLY shipping domestic packages insured! If it gets lost or damaged in freight, I will be able to replace or refund your purchase. NO INSURANCE, NO RECOURSE! Unfortunately, insurance is no longer offered by the US Post Office for international destinations.

REALLY, REALLY IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT SHIPPING TIMES:

Media Mail (once known as 4th class mail) is a special class of postage for books, music, videos and other printed media available within the US and territories. It is far less expensive than Priority Mail, but - it ..... is ........... slooowwwww!!!! Despite USPS claims of 3-9 day delivery times, MEDIA MAIL CAN actually TAKE UP TO 3 WEEKS to arrive, and their tracking info is frequently not updated until it actually arrives, making that feature pretty useless! PLEASE remember this when you leave feedback scores as the choice is yours and not my fault if it takes a long time to get there! If you want it in a week or less, you are going to have to bite the bullet and pay for Priority Mail which will get it there in 2-3 working days, 99% of the time, but it is more expensive. Basically, the choice is yours, but if you choose media mail, please don't write to me in 5 days asking where your package is, because the post office will have it and most of the time, they don't have a clue! International deliveries all go by Priority Mail and usually arrive within 1-2 weeks.
