Movie description
The German hard rock band the Scorpions prove their musical and cultural worth in this historic concert. Filmed in April of 1988, this concert marked one of the first appearances of a Western rock band in front of a Soviet audience. Filmed performing on stage in Leningrad, and also hanging out in the streets and in shops and restaurants with the Russian masses, Red Army officers, the Scorpions take an extremely important step here. They even jam with the Soviets' own hard rockers, Gorky Park. Songs performed include "Blackout," "Holiday," "Don't Stop at the Top," "Media Overkill," "Rhythm of Love" (uncensored version), "Believe in Love" (recut version), and many others.
