Another Beautiful VINTAGE "BARBIZON" NIGHTGOWN WITH DELICATE DETAILING, LACE & MORE! This delicate and Ultra-Feminine Gown has the "Barbizon" satin tag at the back, however the size and Fabric Content tags are not found. Measurements tell me it is a SIZE LARGE and the feel of the material reveal that it is either all Cotton or a Cotton Blend. A wonderful Summer Gown to keep you cool during the hot nights but one that also gives you the Gorgeous Detailing that only Barbizon Gowns can!
The Bodice of this Vintage Piece is absolutely Marvelous, with it's Double "V" of luscious Lace, at the top and lower section of the decorative area. Centered between the lace panels is a Gorgeous Embroidered Floral Medallion in Pinks, Blues & Greens. On each side of this you will find a Diagonal, Cutwork Strip beside 3 Tiny Pintucks...and all of this on a swirl edged panel of the same Baby Blue cotton the gown is made of!! Double Spaghetti straps and a Lace Trimmed back edge complete the look!! Wow...this one is sure to be a new favorite in your collection!!
This Barbizon Gown is in VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT CONDITION, with the exception of a few tiny issues. I did not notice this until now, however I did find that the tiny edge, along several of the lace scallops, is out. It looks like a tiny thread is simply loose, but on closer inspection I see that both edges are attached but the middle section of thread has come away. This is NOT a difficult repair and with a few minutes, needle and thread, you can have these back in place in no time! I find NO soiling, NO tears and NO other issues on this very collectible piece. Please compare measurements below to one of your own, well fitting garments and remember that you need a few inches of each measurement for "fit".
