I have five brass door knob plates that are vintage, from 1920-1930 era. They are brass and I used brass cleaner polish on two of them and they are beautiful !! All five are the same, they are all in good condition, just need cleaned. The edges have a ornate design all the way around. They measure 9.5" long by 3" wide. The mesurement from the center of the lock hole to the center of the door knob hole is 4".
