This marvelous example of a VINTAGE HAND-HELD, PRINTED FUNERAL FAN features an unusual and lovely Cottage Scene in soft hues. The lithographed Cottage Print is titled "PEACE HAVEN" at the lower right corner, along with "LABEL INDIANAPOLIS", "3704", the copyright symbol and "LITHO IN USA". As you can see on the reverse, the funeral home is shown and at the bottom right "THE LAMBERT CO., TERRE HAUTE, IN". This piece is still attached to it's wooden stick with the original staples and the entire piece is in VERY GOOD CONDITION for it's age, apparently dating to the 1930's Era. There are some normal creases and edge wear and one very light, top surface tear, at the very bottom center. A bit of "lifting", where the piece may have been rubbed or nicked, is seen in the "sky" area, but this has no missing paper either. Neighter goes through the piece and there is no paper missing. Normally these are not found in this state, being only paper and difficult to keep in tact. A rare and beautiful find, perfect for display!
The entire fan, with the stick, Measures 14" long and is 7.5" at the widest, top portion of the heavy paper, or cardboard area. The printed portion is 8.5" tall. Suitable for display or framing, it will be packed in a box and secured for safe shipment.
