CD OF WW2 GERMAN ARMY OFFICERS PHOTO ALBUM 1936-1959

Here I have produced a Cd containing approx 380 high resolution scans from 2 large original German WW2 photo albums within my collection.

The albums belonged to a German officer who served between 1936 - 1959 .

Gustav Geller starts the albums with his early RAD Service , he saw battle in Poland , Belguim and France . Later we see him as an officer in Denmark with a flak unit . He also seems to have had some involvement with the V2 rockets as there is mention of this in a colourful postwar montage of his time in service . Immediately after the war ( he now has a facial scar ) he is seen working in what appears to be a coal mine . During the 1950s he is again in uniform as a Major ? in the reformed German airforce  . At this time he is pictured receiving a certificate from top brass , I have this certificate and put a scan of it on the Cd .

There are many photos of devastation to buildings / towns  in France and Belguim , photos of knocked out British & french tanks , crashed planes ( Spits and Hurricane ) . Later there is a photos of a crash landed  Lancaster bomber and a picture of uniformed RAF personel , presumably the planes crew .

This is a really fascinating collection of original , great quality , unpublished images ..we see Gustav go from a fresh faced young man to a battle hardened  & battle scarred older man . These albums tell a story .

My cd images print out very well and when placed in a DVD player , look great viewed on a large screen TV . On the computer you will be able to zoom in on fine details .
